KEMPORI PENGAKAP DAERAH ZON BANGSAR 2010

2. Sukacitanya dimaklumkan bahawa pihak Persekutuan Pengakap Daerah Zon Bangsar, W.P.K.L. untuk mengadakan Kempori Pengakap Daerah 2010 pada hari dan tarikh seperti yang berikut:-

Tarikh : 10 – 12hb Disember 2010

Hari : Jumaat hingga Ahad

Masa : 8.00 pagi (10 Disember 2010) – 4.00 petang (12 Disember 2010)

Tempat : Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Victoria, KL.

3. Objektif utama Kempori Pengakap Daerah 2010 ini adalah bertujuan seperti yang berikut:

i.) Menyambut 100 tahun Pengakap di daerah Zon Bangsar

ii.) Meningkat minat kepengkapan bagi generasi muda

iii.) Meningkat kesedaran bagi menjaga alam sekitar(Green Society)

VI scouts walk down memory lane at dinner

OLD boys and the present-day Boy Scouts of Kuala Lumpur’s Victoria Institution revelled in nostalgia as they celebrated 100 years of scouting in a trip down memory lane recently.

Held at the Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur Hotel’s ballroom, some 300 people attended the event.

One of the main aim of the centenary celebrations, which began on July 17 with a parent’s campfire in Victoria Institution, was to raise funds to build a new Scout den.

Event patron Tan Sri Kamarul Ariffin Mohd Yasin who was a former VI Scout himself, expressed appreciation to the school’s principal Maslan Buniran, event committee, parents and teachers association including the VI Scouting alumni for pledging donations to construct a new den.

Also present at the event were Tan Sri Majid Ismail, pioneer member of the second Selangor scout troop founded in VI, Bangsar district commissioner Kenneth Soh and former Scouts from the 50’s-90’s.

The Victoria Institution Scout Centenary Celebrations organising chairman Zaharuddin Zabir said RM220,000 was collected through sale of dinner tables and pledges by the VI Scouting alumni.

Macau Scouts visit at SJK(C) Kuen Cheng 1 on 14/8/2010

There was a campfire held on 14 August 2010 by Kuen Cheng Scout Group, Zon Bangsar to welcome the Macau Scouts. The campfire was attended by about 300 scouts from WPKL and Macau.

This event was very successful and all the scouts shown strong interest to interact and also learn from each others. Another excellent program by Kuen Cheng, thanks to GSM Lew for the effort.

(2) Senior Scouts (Pengakap Remaja) who have awarded Rambu Kuning

or has minimum completed 5 Lencana Tertinggi

(3) Age : 16yrs old below age 18yrs old
