District Journey 2011/1 for Scouts & Senior Scouts

Dear Scouts & Senior Scouts,

District is organizing a journey for
Scouts (Lencana Usaha,Maju,Jaya)(1 Day 3/9/2011, 8.00am-5.00pm)
Senior Scouts (Lencana Tertinggi Esperdisi) (2 Days 1 Night, 3-4/9/11, 8.00am - 12noon)

Troop wish to join or need more information, you may attend 28/8/11 Sun, 8.30am at S.K. MBSKL

28/8/11 Meeting 8.30am-12.00noon
(1) Briefing no Journey and discussion
(2) Class no journey- How to do a map report, Use of compass, etc

Service Call Sept 16th - Scouts for Kids run

Dear Bro & Sis Scouts,

We would like to enquire on the possibility of having 100 of Scouts to be a part of our upcoming Giant Kids Run 2011. Please refer to below for the details of the event.

Event Day – Friday, September 16, 2011

Event Venue – Metropolitan Park, Kepong, Malaysia

Event Time – 7.30am to 12.00pm

Event Program

7.30am to 9.30am – Race Commences

9.30am to 12.00pm – Prize Presentation & Stage Activities

7.30am to 12.00pm – Kids Activities Commences @ Kids Zone

Requirements for Volunteers

1) Volunteers must be 16 years old and above

2) A total of 100 Volunteers are needed

3) Some of the roles of Volunteers includes and not limited to, Route Marshals, Traffic Marshals, Distribution of water to Runners at designated Water Stations, Distribution of Goodie Bags, Set up & Tear Down of individual allocated Stations, ensuring the cleanliness of Park after event is over

4) A briefing will need to be conducted 1 week prior to the Race Day. Date, Time & Venue to be advised.

5) Volunteers are to report at Metropolitan Park on September 16 by 5.30am sharp

6) Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. Goodie Bag will also be presented to all volunteers.
